IU Department of Tourism, Conventions and Event Management
Fulfilling electives does not have to be a daunting process. In fact, the fulfillment of electives is open to practically any subject a student deems interesting. Therefore, it is important to remember that just because electives are required does not mean they cannot be fun. When considering which electives to take, look at the Department of Tourism, Conventions and Event Management (TCEM) to help fulfill those needed hours. TCEM offers such courses as Wine Selection, in which students explore the fundamentals of wine, discuss types of wine and look at suggestions for serving. Wine tasting is included in this course, which means you must be 21 to attend. If you are not yet 21, but are still interested in an interesting elective, try Intro to Micro-brewing. In this course, you will learn about the process of brewing, as well as how to best appreciate beer. TCEM offers many other courses that can help you fulfill your degree requirements while also providing an enjoyable experience. These are classes you will definitely get out of bed to attend.

A few punches on a telephone keypad and you can have dinner delivered to your door. However, when you are in the mood for authentic Italian fare, try Sal’s Famous Pizzeria.
